This is a club for students who
are interested in achieving “above and beyond” the normal classroom
expectations.
All you have to do is:
1.
Learn all
about the challenge topic. So, you might want to head off to the library
or just click on the links below.
2.
Fill out a sheet to request a time to meet with
Mrs. Kelly or Mrs. Hinckley (these forms are on the bulletin board downstairs).
3.
When she tells you - come in during your recess,
lunch break, or after school (A+ students) and tell the answers to your
challenge.
You can become a 1 star member, all the way up to a 144 star
member!
After successful
completion of 24 challenges,
your name
will be added permanently in our class HALL OF FAME chart.
Learning
never ends – Thank goodness
Parents
and Students:
To get started choose any challenge that interests you. You do
not have to do the challenges in order.
You may research using books or the following websites. When you feel you have mastered the content,
fill out a form.
Be a smart internet researcher. These sites are listed as a convenience to
students. They may provide links to
other web sites and access to content of third parties. We have made every attempt to ensure that the
content on the following links is appropriate for students. The school assumes no responsibility for any
errors or omission in the content of the sites.
Parents are encouraged to work with students on these sites. Please let us know if you see anything that
you think is inappropriate.
We thank
Mrs. Renz, Oregon for allowing us to borrow some of
her topics & use of this Mastery Club idea.
